VASBO Members:

With mixed emotions, I am reporting that Tim Yetter, 2019-20 VASBO President, has made the decision to retire from Loudoun County Public Schools and continue his career in Maryland, where his family resides. In addition, at the Fall Conference, Tim announced his resignation from the VASBO Presidency in order to dedicate time to his family and new school division.

I want to thank Tim for his membership and dedication to VASBO through the years and know that I speak for all VASBO Members in wishing him the best in the future.

At the Fall Conference, the VASBO Executive Team chose to appoint me to serve as the President for the remainder of the 2019-20 term.  I am humbled and look forward to another great, collaborative year.

Please feel free to reach out to me any time to provide feedback or ask questions.  I hope to see you all at the joint VASS/VASBO Winter Conference on January 6th!

Dear Friends,

Together with my colleagues, I wish for you a very happy, healthy and successful academic year!

I am humbled, honored and privileged to have been elected President of the Virginia Association of School Business Officials. I am deeply grateful to my predecessors, their leadership and outstanding contributions to VASBO.  I look forward to continuing the collaborative efforts with the Board of Directors and Management Team.  Their inspiration and commitment to VASBO cannot go on unrecognized.  The growth of VASBO has been an effort of unprecedented proportions by this group of exemplary leaders known collectively as School Business Officials of VASBO.

I look forward working with our members on this collective effort that promotes the highest standards of school business practices and professionalism throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.  With their continued support we will continue this work through partnering with professional organizations, government agencies and school communities.

I am proud to be given this opportunity, and with the Board of Directors, continue the leadership of VASBO as an authority in school business and operations in a transparent, professional and ethical manner.

Thomas C. (Tim) Yetter, SFO
